This is the third year the Emmy-award winning and veteran news journalist will emcee for the annual hospital benefit. Glor’s wife, Nicole, serves on the planning committee for the event.
Pop band 98 Degrees will perform at the benefit which includes dinner, auctions and dancing to a DJ.
The fundraiser being held at the Riverside Yacht Club (7 to 11:30 p.m.) is a benefit for pediatric and women’s health services at Greenwich Hospital.
The Glors first heard about Under the Stars and Greenwich Hospital shortly after moving to Greenwich through a friend and event co-chair, Jennifer Turano, who encouraged Nicole to join the committee as an opportunity to give back to her new community, said the hospital's announcement.
The Glor family has expressed gratitude for having a world-class medical facility and the vital services it provides close to home.
In 2016, the Glor’s then two-year-old daughter had a frightening fall that required stitches on her face.
“The emergency department had a plastic surgeon on staff that Sunday night of a holiday weekend, and we were impressed that we did not have to leave the neighborhood for her procedure,” said Nicole, who also regularly receives routine care at Greenwich Hospital’s Breast Center.
